What color for the walls? *Advice needed*
Ok so I have been wanting to repaint and wallpaper my craft room, and now I am not sure which color to paint the walls.
I do get OK sunlight from the one window but I dont want a dark color at all, the other window on the other side of the room is a bit bigger than the one in the picture BUT the mini blind inside needs to be changed AND for some reason the person who owned this house before us put up instead of the grey/white paneling you see in the pics a faux rock wall type thing, it only measures 8ft wide but goes from ceiling to floor (will replace that later on but for now it stays.)
Need advice on wall color that matches the border or coordinates with the border in the last picture.

TIA!

How about a soft sage green? (My favorite color!
) I think it would look great with the border.

That is actually one of my favorite colors, might have to keep checking the returns at lowes and home depot for $5 gallons in this color, thanks for the advice!

~I would go with pale green. Green is often used in libraries, dens and schoolrooms becasue it's believed to promote mental clarity.~

I would also suggest a green. That would really make the red tones in the border pop.

Hey! I have that border in my dining room! I have it with a very deep red, but that would be too dark for what you're looking for. I would recommed either green or yellow.

My first intinct is to go with the very palest green that shows in the border... or a very pale mauve that shows on the sky area.
Let us know what you decide!

I really like that color gold that's in the very furthest left in the border. My 1st thoughs were to use the border at chair-rail height (guess you can tell from Ann's post thst I like chair railing LOL). And I would paint the bottom half black with that gold on top. Buuuut, since you don't want anything dark and you want prim, I would pick out the lightest red in the border for the bottom and stay with the gold for the top. In my own imagination I see this looking VERY prim. My other choice would be light/medium shade of green on top of the red. I'd take a piece of the border with me to the store. They can computer match for you at alot of them.
Anyways, I love the border and I can't wait to see your after pictures. Keep us posted because I'll be watchiing for it!

My first thought was the pinky/neutral that is the sky on the border - but I can see where the lightest sage green would look good too.

My first thought was a golden yellow like that in the border, in the house on the right. I am happy to see that others here have the same idea. It is a nice warm color and I think a very happy one. I would agree too, to the border at chair rail height, I am not a fan of any borders up near the ceiling. I would, if money would allow, to trim the border on the top and bottom in a white painted moulding.

LOL There are just days when I don't know my left from my right
. The gold house IS furthest right
I agree and think the gold is a VERY prim color and would really bring out so many of the other commonnly used colors in that decor.
BTW, the white painted moulding sounds great too!
