was the wainscoting on the bottom the dark wood? looks bright and cheery!
where did you get insulating curtains?11% gross to retirement
10% takehome to tithe and offerings
emergency fund maintained at 3000(works for me)
credit card debt 7500
mortgage free
freedom accounts/sinking funds that ebb and flow
then live on the rest!
i am trying something new. LDS church advises savings or debt repayment should be the same as the tithe. 10% each.

Yes - the wainscoting was a dark walnut color - I love it. I got the curtains at Homesense, which is a home boutique with reduced prices. I'm seeing a big difference in the warmth of the house.
Trisha, the stove is electric and really makes the room toasty.

Looks great, Daisygirl! I would so love to cover the dark woodwork in my house with fresh white paint....hubby is very resistant to that idea, doesn't understand why I'd want to cover that "beautiful woodwork"....hmmmm, how about because the room would look brighter and feel like there's more light? Your new family room looks so inviting!
