I put up my tree, the small things I decorate the kitchen with, a garland on the mantel, and the stockings on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Outside, I just put up a wreath, doormat, flag, and a red bow on the street light. We buy or make a special ornament to reflect the major "theme" of the year, and this year it was an ornament to look like our puppy (who, with the cats, also has a stocking -- I know, I know!) :-)

Tomorrow. I have everything in the living room, but the wife and I have been pretty busy.

Gotta put the lights on our tabletop tree TODAY!!! I do that outside, and it's supposed to get cold tomorrow. I have a few things out now, and will be setting more stuff out through the coming weeks.

Put lights on the house and front tree for the first time since moving in. Personally, I hate the icicle lights, but the wife likes them, so up they went. Tree is up and dressed, the rest of the knicknacks are out to take up space.

The wife is happy. A happy wife is a happy house.

This year I am only decorating the ficus tree and putting a wreath on the door. For some reason I feel stressed this year and all the decorating makes this small place feel cluttered. So I am simplifying this year.

We are still planning on putting up the tree tomorrow. Not quite sure what to do about the stockings since Moo tries to pull everything down and if our reindeer stocking holders knock her in the head, it could hurt her pretty badly.

But, Wesley and I did decorate a gingerbread house and start a paper chain!
