OMG, you're the second person I know who does this! My GF rearranges several times a year!!!

I'm just happy if I get the dusting done! Unfortunately, we have too much stuff in the house right now to allow for easy rearranging but I used to "reinvent" my surroundings about once every few years when I was in a smaller apartment.

You'd never be a match with my hubby. He figures when the furniture was placed in the first place it was well thought out and is the "only right way" it should go.
    Enjoy moving your things around!

It's good to know I'm not alone. I am in the process of rearranging right now. Everyone just shakes their heads and ignores it. LOL I find it keeps me happy, I enjoy making changes.

I'm always trying to redecorate more so than rearrange. Our little apartment is far too small to change the position of any of the furniture - there is simply nowhere else to put the stuff.

I used to but now DH has cable that can only go 1 place. Plus scary things sometimes live under my couch.

I LOVE to rearrange furniture but I can't really do it anymore because of the cable line and the furniture really only fits one way now. DH used to say he would never get up in the middle of the night in the dark and presume there was a seat where it was when he went to bed because he never knew if I changed things after he went to bed.

I love to rearrange the furniture! I think the way things are now they have been this way the longest. DD hates change, when she was little she would cry everytime I moved things.

I used to paint the rooms a lot, not so much anymore, getting too old for that.

I am sure there have been more than a few times dh wanted to nail things down so he would know where the furniture was in the dark.

~I grew up with a mom who loved to rearrange. It's still interesting to visit and see how she changes things around. I think it's a creative outlet for her.
I'm one of those plan, place and keep it that way people. I only rearrange if I'm removing or adding a piece or two of furniture or the room or area has changed function. It's never done for fun or a new aesthetic. ~

I used to move things around every few weeks - like others, it makes things fresh and new and is a lot easier than moving to a new place - which I also love doing. Unfortunately, the apartment I'm in now seriously limits my options with it arrangement of windows, doors, and a stupid place for a cable connection.

On the other hand, moving furnitaure takes a physical toll now so it's probably as well I don't do it as often. But I still do it within the limits possible. There's nothing better a whole new arrangement of the furniture! Living alone, no one else gets disgruntled with my footloose furniture.

I use to be a major compulsive furniture re-arranger... Hubby would come home from work and one room would be completely re-arranged. That would happen at least once a month..

Well, he learned how to stop that.. Sense we've been here (almost 4 yrs) he has become a rock/mineral collector, way to much to move/re-arrange...

    So now I am a compulsive re-organizer..
