    Default Refinished Furniture Projects

Does anyone have any new projects to share?

I just picked these chairs up on Kijiji - 4 for $40. The seats were white and pretty grungy, and the finish was a fake wood colour that I hate, and a little banged up.

I'm all about the blue & white these days so I stapled on some blue & white fabric from my stash, and painted the chair white. The fabric is actually inside out - I'm going for a shabby chic/cottage look - it is navy stripes on the right side, and they make you go cross eyed and nauseous if you look at them. The wrong side looks so much better.

I only have one finished, but the other three are sanded and ready to go.

Looks great MW! I haven't done anything lately. I usually do that sort of thing when the weather is good so the fumes and dust can all stay outdoors.

Your chair looks beautiful, and what a difference! It has a totally different personality now.

I have a cabinet I keep putting on my challenge list and can't seem to get it done. It's been buried under yarn and I'm slowly digging it out. It needs some light sanding and then could be painted, so I don't know why I'm procrastinating. Oh, yeah, it needs some surgery to make it fit where I want it to go, to that's probably why.

I'm not a fan of painted wood, if I see another turquoise bureau, I'll scream.
But, you did a fantastic job and it looks 100% better.

Very nice and I like your idea of using the wrong side of the fabric to get the right effect!
