Default Decorating ideas for the bathroom

We are getting ready to paint our bathroom again. Our toilet, tub and sink are "innocent blush", a pale rose color. The floor is white/gray. Any ideas on paint colors? Do you think rose on the walls would be okay or too much? What kind of theme should I use? I'm a country gal, I have a shower curtain with roses on it in there now.

Any decorating "little touches" would be appreciated. I am dense in this department (not very creative).

    Thanks!

I'm not one for giving suggestions sight unseen, but will try.
First of all, I don't know how much of a change you're looking for. How often do you update a look? What type of budget do you have? What do the surrounding spaces look like. What mood are you wanting to create? Relaxing, whimsical, bright, etc.

Really the easiest way to give a bathroom a pop, is your linens (towels), bathroom ensembles, and curtain.

I don't know how large your bathroom is and what kind of storage you have going on in it, so it's difficult to comment.

Here's a little website for some cute add ons.

You should decorate around your curtain. Unless your basin is something spectacular or if the room is large enough to decorate around your floor covering.

I'd like to suggest a paint color, but would need to see more. My first thought upon just reading would be a celadon or a light shade of eggplant.

    forgot to add....

I don't know if you have any shelving either or what your mirror is like in there. If there is enough light for plants. If you have pre-existing pictures or accessories etc.

Ok, I think that's most of my questions.

    Okay, here goes!

Oak sink base and oak medicine cabinet with mirror. Nothing on the walls at all, I got rid of it all.

The shower curtain is new, so I like the idea of decorating around that. It has mauve/rose colored roses on it with a white/grey background.

I like a relaxing mood in there and would like to keep it soft and feminine.

It's very small, just a tub/shower, toilet and sink w/base. The area not counting the tub is about 6 x 6. The door opens in, so any suggestions for a small (read: tiny) rug that doesn't interfere with the door.

I'll try to get a pic of the shower curtain.

    Thanks Sara!

Sara has great ideas. I too would go neutral on the walls. Something that would go with anything in case I decided to totally change the bathroom again.

We're at a stand still again I'm still waiting for DH to spackle and caulk. We're going to a Home Show in Philadelphia today. I'm hoping we'll get inspired, lol.
