    Question Paint question....

Ok Sara and any other decorating gurus. Got a question about paint for you. What is the best kind of paint for a bathroom. I need one that won't peel when dh uses a scalding hot shower and doesnt' turn on the fan.

I want to paint my bathroom in a couple of months (a cool lavender color) and I want to make sure to use the right stuff! My Aunt won't let anyone take a shower in her bathroom, only tub baths because she says the paint will get messed up. (?) (Her house her rules, I guess.) Not my house though. I want to be able do use my shower anytime I want

Mel, I don't know if it's the right paint or not, but I've always used semi gloss latex and have had no problems ...... . We don't even have a fan in our bathroom, it's extra small and it works fine.

Mel, Misty is right, there is a paint special for kitchens and baths. There is also a primer (to use underneath) that will stop mildew. It is expensive though, if I remember right around $25-$40 per gallon depending on what brand you buy.

Thanks everyone! I didn't know about the primer. THanks Diana. It is a small room, so hopefully I won't need much paint or primer. I will post a pic when I get it done. That will be sometime in May probably. LOL
