How to make the room more
sports related?
I was wondering if you were trying to turn your boy's room into a sports theme how would you do it? Actually he is 12. He has so many trophies from baseball that I added shelves to his wall for him to display them all. His walls are white and I want to change them. What color would you do?
This summer we are putting hardwood floors down in his room.....so this may help you some.~*Michelle*~

I think that a blue would be appropriate for a sports theme. Then you could stencil the sport or sports as a border or chair rail. You could also make a collage of any game ticket stubs that you have.

Does he have a favorite team? My friends' son is a huge Yankee's fan and his room is done in white/blue pinstripes.

I had a friend who did her baseball room for her husband. She painted it a dark blue and put a border at the top. On the walls are baseball penants (sp?) pictures of the players and team. It turned out really cute!! Good luck...this would be fun to do.

I'd do a shade of green with a white strip and bases on each wall. Home plate being his bed. Could add a fun beanbag on an accent rug in the center of the room to be like the pitcher's mound.

Sara, I actaully thought about green because of the field, but didn't know what else to do with it. I love the bases idea.
Thank you!

When we redid my son's room he was around 12. We painted it the colors of the school that he goes to. It is Maroon and Gray. We lucked out because he has a ledge that goes around his room, and all his trophies and knick knacks are sitting there. He has a few posters on the closet door and the bedroom door. He has some pictures on the wall of some of the autographs that he has gotten from some of his football camps that he went to. I will post some pictures in the gallery for you to see.

Thanks Sara. That is interesting. I plan on starting on his room soon. I am finishing up my DS#1's room at the moment. All we like in his room is removing the old carpet and laying his tiles.
*We all have allergies and suspect the carpet has something to do with them. DS#3 and I have asthma and they told us the carpet could trigger that as well. Now you can see why all our carpet is being removed....for our health.~*Michelle*~
