Default picture of my couch...what kind of paint?

Here is a picture of my couch...this is also the color of my couch. We have a love seat along with it and we plan to get the chair and ottaman with it. My question....do you think that a "mocha" type color will look good with this furniture color or should I do another color? I'm open to any ideas because we just don't know what to do. TIA!!!

one other thing...the furniture pieces (wood) you see in the pic are the same color of the coffee table and amorie (sp?) we have in our living room.

First of all, LOVE THAT COUCH! Secondly, I think that khaki would be fine, but so would some brighter colors to bring some brightness to the room. I'm a khaki kinda girl, but I know that others love color, but luckily for you...I think either would work!

Daphne, I think you'll be safe to paint it just about any color you'd like.
Just remember you don't want it to look "stale" or "cold". I personally would like to see you use just a hit of color somewhere in the room. maybe some pillows done in your Brick red, sage green, wheat yellow, Or maybe a couple of Throws in those colors.

Thanks for the advice ladies. I do have some throws that have greens, red, brown in them so I think that will help. I plan to find some more throw pillows and I have a couple of floor pillows. The only problem I have now is the curtain situation. I don't know why I think too much about curtains!!!

    Can't wait to get started!!

Daphne, try a light "breezy" fabric for your curtains, maybe in a gauze or anything semi-sheer. I think Tap Tops would look awesome in there. Get some (or make them) Really Pretty rods with finals on them and some Tap Tops in gauze (maybe in Sage or Wheat Yellow just to pick up and add some color without being overly dramatic. Oh I can't wait to see what you choose!!!

I'd keep the walls neutral so you can change for seasons easily. If I had to choose a color I'd choose a peach tone or possibly a celadon to sage green tone.
I'd contrast with shades of salmon, moss greens, taupes, and small amounts of gold and navy. A throw rug in a solid salmon to burgandy shade and sheer salmon to burgandy shade in your curtains. I'd accent with some iron accessories. Be certain to pull the colors through in at least a small grouping of pictures, a mirror, or a large framed picture.

BUT mocha would go fine. You really can't go wrong with the color and style you selected.
