The actual Blackboard is painted on. The words are done in chalk.
I'd love to say I freehanded it but, I must confess I used a stencil.

DH is trying to deceide on which type of frame he wants to go around it. I'm thinking something like a picture frame.

Thank You all so much. I have so much more yet to do before it's complete. I have to do it in stages to make sure I'm really going to like it. So it may take me a few more weeks before I have it the way I want it.

Got me thinking about my kitchen and a chalkboard now. I am thinking I could make a menu of like the kind of soul food dh loves (so do I but I blame all food on him). Like collard greens, hot water cornbread etc. I feel my wheels turning just when classes are about to start back up!

I'm thinking of doing one on the cabinet door just above my coffee maker and doing it in a "Coffee List".
LOL DH said I could do every othe cabinet and do something different on each one. Then if I don't like it I can just paint over it!

I think that'd be neat!! You could do all of his favorite foods! The paint is not that expensive. $10.00 a quart but, it does 100-125 sq. ft. That's alot of chalk board!
