anyone refinish furniture with paint?
Like tables? I have been wanting to paint/stencil a table for awhile now. Years ago, I crackle painted one and loved how it turned out. I'd like to try something with paint and stencils next.
We have a tight budget here and things are a bit plain. I don't want to add too much "stuff" that isn't functional.
I don't mind some "flair", so thought this would be a good Fall project.
I love seeing projects like these. Ellise did something once that was so pretty. If you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online. I have a small, antique tobacco cabinet in our bathroom that I'm going to paint in sort of a "Mary Engelbricht" type style when I re do the bath. (it more muted tones than M.E. uses though but that general style....if you get my drift.) I love painted furniture too.
We've done a few things like an antique bedroom suite that had a terrible finish on it, painted to coordinate a dd's bedroom, etc... but I'm excited about re-doing the little table.

I paint everything that stands still long enough LOL.
It's really easy if you're not afraid to 'mess it up' People make a big deal out of it incase it all goes wrong, but what's the worst that can happen? You paint it again LOL.
Go for it Sara! - And show me the pics after
