Ok, my frugal friends, I need some ideas..........

I am putting up new curtains in the living room and need 2 tension rods to hang the balloon curtains. I went to town and bought two........$14.00 later~ and they don't fit, I must have measured wrong and they are too big. I will take them back and know they don't have a smaller size. I have been racking my brain trying to find something that I can use instead, something I may have around the house. Thought I could save myself some $$. They go on the inside of the window and it is wood.

Any ideas??

Have you looked at the springs made to hold curtains ????

Heather you can cut those tension rods down if you need to....or I might better say "have them cut down". I've never done it but my dmom has. I can't think of a cheaper solution. I have a couple I could send you. They are antique though. What size do you need?
