Default For those who read Budget Living...

Did you see the room with the game boards on the wall? I thought that was a really neat idea. For those that don't read the magazine, they showed game boards like monopoly, parcheesi, etc opened up and hung on the wall. It was a unique and fun decorating idea.

I also saw them use skis hung on the wall and used as shelves.

I don't typically like this magazine, but receive it free. I did like these two ideas though.

I receive it free too, but I haven't gotten the new one yet. It sounds like a cute idea for a game room or a child's room.

I had to get it out to look. That is neat! The whole wall is covered in a variety of game boards that she collected at thrift stores. She used push pins to hold them up. I like the hankerchief border too. The "ski" shelves are not really my taste. They must be in a bathroom in the photo. It makes me wonder, though, what else could you use for shelves? The playing card wreath on page 73 is cute. I'll bet you could do something like that out of last years Christmas cards.

I just got mine the other day (2 days ago I think) and that room is really cute. I'm like you girls, I haven't been all that impressed with the articles but sometimes the decorating ideas are cute.
