Thumbs up Just found my inspiration!

I've been pondering that bedroom suite from the junk store that is near me. It's solid wood, french provincial style. I want to put it in dd's bedroom as we've never had any nice furniture in there at all except for an old brass head and footboard (also bought at a junk store years ago but I love that bed!). The finish isn't in good shape on the bedroom furniture that I'm buying (pretty much a good deal I think for a triple dresser, mirror, 2 piece chest of drawers and nite stand for $300). So I've been looking for inspiration on how to paint it. I think I've found what I'm looking for. Please see attachment. Do ya think I can do this?

I'm soooo excited. I'm getting it next week and I'll take a leather chair to the store to re-sell for me, which should bring about $150. That should help with the price quite a bit.

You are reminding me of ME!!!
I have lots of OLD NOT ANTIQUE furniture in dd's bedroom. It is from yard sale. You all must remember the off shite furniture that had gold edging. I am making myself a STUDIO in her room. Each piece of furniture will be painted a funky color like orange, green blue etc. Then I am gonna paint the edges with things like dots, swirls etc. I have seen this kind of stuff on Carol Duvall but cannot find a picture, but by golly I do have inspiration! OI bought a comforter with all the colors I mentioned for the bed and 12 1/2 yards of 1.00 fabric from Walmart yesterday. I am gonna make some kinds of curtains in there, swag type. There is a desk, a corner piece, small 4 drawer dresser, wider 4 drawer dresser with hutch and a mirror. None will be exactly the same, but matching. Bet you all thing I have tipped over the edge huh?

The reason I have come up with this scheme, is because I could never paint what you are painting Oh gifted Prarie Rose! I love your inspiration very much!

I love the inspiration piece, I think your DD's new bedroom suite will be beautiful. I would love to see a picture of it when you get finished. I need all the inspiration I can get.

Robin, you new studio sounds so great, cool and funky and fun. I hope you will post a pic when it is finished and show us the end product. I am looking forward to seeing it.
