What types of things do you have on your walls?
We are basically starting over in the picture department. I don't have much on the walls at all. I have only a few pieces of framed art, pictures of the kids, some floral items, a mirror, and a couple of sconces.
I'm hoping to slowly add some pictures and wall art that I love in the next few years and am always curious what others have on their walls. If you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online. I use to have pictures on all my walls and then we moved here. I found I love bare walls. So in my living room, I have one antique picture. In our m/bedroom I don't have any pictures, but I do have 4 antique baby dresses hanging above my bed.
Other than that, nothing on my walls.

What a neat idea to hang the dresses.

I'm a tin collector so I have tons of tins on shelves. I also have tin signs all over my dining room and a couple of sconces. Kitchen... more advertising signs.
We do have a lot of pictures of us, family and our cats but after painting the last time still haven't gotten them back up. Nor have we put our antique pictures back up.

In our bedroom we have a beautiful and romantic James Lumbers print hanging on the wall.. and that's it. In our main living areas I have several large framed mirrors, and in our living room are two large framed pencil drawings that I had done for my dh on Christmas when our kids were in JK and grade 1. I remember wanting to have their portraits done in oil for dh but we were a young couple with two small kids and I was (and still am) a sahm... pencil it was. But they're beautiful and our favorite pieces of art.
In our dining room are two small framed pictures which I purchased one at a time on trips that my dh and I took to Old Quebec.
I also had matted and framed a lovely white hanky from Scotland which belonged to my Grandmother. It has a lot of meaning to me and hangs in our stairway to the upper floor.
My DS's long-time girlfriend is an art major and a wonderful artist. Last year for Christmas she gave us a beautiful framed watercolor of a single flower. We were so touched. I hope to be the recepient of many more of her works to display in our home.

We have family pictures, floral items, sconces, and in the living room I have my Jesus on the cross clock that my FIL bought for me when DH and were first married. It really is pretty and I love it.

The only things hanging in our house is a picture and clock in the kitchen, a picture in the bathroom, my ds has his name is wooden blocks on his wall, and a picture in the bedroom. I used to love tons of stuff on the wall, but now I like it better...
I would really like to have a large mirror hanging over our loveseat in the living room and i will be hanging some photos of my ds in there soon....

We have framed art, family pics, a few floral things, a sconce or 2.
I bought the coolest thing for my bathroom yesterday at Kirkland's. It's a piece of rusty ironwork, lots of curly Q's. I'm going to put it above the bathtub. Can't wait to hang it.

I'm glad, I'm not the only one with cob webs...
We have shelves of nick-nacks, DH's watercolors, a couple of DH's father's paintings, old games, family pics, old hats and some of my cross-stitch. I have a nice kimono that I would like to put on the wall of the new house, it was probably brought back from the war, I paid $5.00 for it and it's beautiful.

My living room has 2 very lg and a small Carl Brenders prints (very overpriced, extremely expensive to mat and frame since I picked out suede mats, all wolves, not crazy about them-dh loves them) and a sm artist proof scetch of a freaky mythical creature-I'm told it worth something-again not crazy about it. Our bedroom has 2 lg Ellis prints of whales--agai, overpriced.
Dining room has a couple of small R. Kennedy prints I picked up in the Keys years ago, a huge print of a killer whale in alaska and a more modern original oil my cousin was selling at her first show, noone seemed to be buying so I got my check book out.
Our entry hall has two shadow boxes I did. One is his grandfathers photos, purple heart and letter from the president. the other is my great grandparents naturalization papers, polish/english dictionary, photo etc. between them is a 14 x 16 photo we just had done of us and the kids--so its kinda representing our pasts and present.
The kids rooms have some low end (mall quality) oils of whales and dolphins and a school of resin tropical fish.
