We had an impromptu garage sale!
Well, the real garage sale is still in two weeks, but events occurred on Saturday that caused us to wake up at 5:30 Sunday morning and set up and have a garage sale! (I'll post the events in the Veranda as they are not clutter related.)
With no advertising in the paper and only 4 signs hung up on street posts, we made $200 and change! We could have made a lot more, but I took any offer that people made on stuff, because the objective was to get rid of the stuff. To people who didn't see the garage before, it may not look that different, because a lot of my garage sale stuff was in the basement and now everything that didn't sell is boxed up in the garage, but the fact is, after the sale, dh and I broke down and tied up about 10 big cardboard boxes for recycling, so we KNOW we sold a lot of stuff and emptied out the garage!
I'm going to hunt around and see if there isn't anything else we can sell in the house as I do a massive clean up and organization and get it priced and ready for the BIG sale in two weeks. Just thought I'd let you know that I did have garage sale part 1 and the garage is on its way!My Blog: http://amysreallife.wordpress.com
