Has anyone done a ceiling fan a make over??
I hate my dining room ceiling fan. It's so old, it's almost back in style with its shimmery brown glass bulb covers... I can get new ones at Goodwill for cheap enough, but have no clue about painting the fan blades and maybe the metal parts??? Anyone done this? I would love some advice!

I haven't done it personally, but they do it on Trading Spaces all the time!
I say go for it!

Go for it, it's going to brighten up the whole room and I bet you'll be glad you did it!
Dh and I put a nice white blade fan with white and clear glass fittings in our bedroom when we moved here. (hot summers, that fan is a true blessing!).
It made the whole room look nice, but the dark one in the entry well---- when I get to painting the entry it's going to be painted glossy white.

Thanks guys! Can I use any ol' spray paint and did anyone paint the cover of the motor area of the fan?
And look!! I got a permanent resident flower!! I'm honored!

I plan on doing the same thing to our dining room fan. Its ugly and nothing like a can of white spray paint to brighten it up!
