    Wink What's your bedroom decor?

Is your bedroom any certain decor or theme? My walls are a light cream (actually they look white).Carpet is tan and most all my decor is burgundy. The problem is my bed. Steve's grandmother makes quilts and thats what I keep on the bed and most don't match. I wanted a new comforter set but hate buying one knowing I have at least 20 quilts.

I also want to paint the bedroom. I thought I wanted a burgundy, but that'll make the room to dark. The windows need to be trimmed out (we built the addition and haven't done that yet ) and I'd love to have some of those bamboo, matchstick or the 1 or 2 inch wood blinds but they're costly.

Soooo whats your bedroom look like?

Our bedroom is done in what I call a prison cell theme. lol

Bed and dresser and no pictures on the wall. We do have a window, so kinda country club prison theme.

White walls, wood trim, and as dull as dull can be.

Hoping to change it soon, but I'll tell ya...the work it took painting the spare room with kids isn't something I care to try again anytime soon.

I know what you mean. When I told Steve I wanted to paint the bedroom he says "You mean you want ME to paint the bedroom". It was a huge hassle to do the living room (it's a 15X30) with kids running around.

I want a romantic bedroom.Nice, clean and clutter free
Our room is off the living room and everything gets thrown in there. Kids shoes,Katie's backpack, books, crayons, coloring books,mail...you name it!

My room is so barren it has an echo. Everything upstairs sounds super loud because there's barely anything in the rooms to absorb the noise. lol

Mine is done in a "storage closet overflow" theme at the moment. DH has been replacing windows in all the bedrooms and we've been cleaning stuff out so I have piles of boxes and clothing in front of the closets. When that stuff is is not in the way you can only describe it as "eclectic".

My bedroom is small and cluttered with overflows, too. Things from other rooms migrate around and land in my bedroom. It needs decluttered right now.

I painted the walls mauve and have mauve carpeting. My curtains and bedspreads are burgundy, gold and dark green designs for winter and off-white and green and mauve floral/ivy patterns for summer.

I'd like to use a feather duster dipped in a darker mauve or burgundy and apply it to the walls to give them a wallpapered look. It's an old trick I used years ago in a small apartment bathroom with light blue over white and it looked great! Everyone thought it was wallpapered and the new tenants liked it as it was and asked that it stay that way.

I have angel pictures and statuettes in there (to look after me) as a theme. I keep packing the bulk of them away as there were too many given to me as gifts and I can only put so many angels in there on shelves and the dresser and hutch.

It used to be quilts on the bed and lace all over.......
I have however changed it since I starting working 50+ hours a week....
It's now a habitat for endangered spider and dust bunny species.............

I haven't even started in our bedroom since we moved in a year ago. I've been busy getting the downstairs decorated but when I do get around to the bedroom it will be primitive country like the rest of the house

we decorated the bedrooms first when we moved house because we knew they'd be left for years if we didn't.

Our spare room is white with white window treatment and furnishings with a red border running right the way round with a large red rectangle on the wall which we've put all our favourite postcards on.

The main bedroom is painted the colour of strong english tea (with milk!) and the soft furnishings are all deep red with raw silk cushions, lampshades etc. We have oak fitted wardrobes all along one wall and a really nice beige wool carpet with a heart shaped rag rug!

Currently mine is 1993 apricot and seafoam green, cutesy country
(ugh). Before long I'm tearing it all out and gonna re-do the tile in the 3/4 bath and paint and maybe stencil in there. I was really thinking about reds but I've found a really nice comforter in earthtones.....so I might go with that. I want a more sleek, modern look. Like with the cute, tall lamps with beaded shades, etc..... I don't have a lot of room to set things so that should help me declutter.....

~48 yr. old sahw, livin' it up in our empty nest, smack dab in the middle of everywhere.~

Hardwood floors, beige walls and ceiling, 1920s armoire, giant king bed takes up 3/4 of room, blue and white quilts, lots of pillows, 2 Ellis limited prints of whales on the wall, 3 windows which needed custom wood oak blinds because one is 16 inches wide, lots of woodwork, side tables, craftsman style that dh built to surround baskets I loved (I am spoiled!) currently have changing table in there too since 2 extra babies joined us, and some of dh keyboard equip while he finishes his studio work.

Our bedroom has white walls, our bedspread is huntergreen, we have a big old wooden desk for the computor, a table for my crafts (which is filled with stuff-*sigh*) a white bureau, a beige bureau with our tv on it and a tall and white shelf bureau with glass doors, where I put my books....Oh yes, I still didn't put curtains in our window--just a blind....anyways, you won't get inspired by our bedroom---it's really no style and so cluttered and full. The problem is that our home is SO small, that we don't have much choice on how we organize our rooms....

I am thinking, though, of working on making our bedroom much nicer than it is now.

My first floor needs to be redone so it has no theme ... I just try to keep it clean. *lol* My second floor has alot of sun and moon decor ... I found some cute things at a K-mart closing sale once for real cheap so got them.
