    Default Need some decorating help...

We will be building a gazebo around our hot tub (1st settle and arguement, would this be a gazebo or a cabana?). We are doing th egazebo in wood with a privacy fence and above that lattice. The lattice will on top form a curved roof. Anyhow there will be two open door areas. Dh has mentioned that this will probably be used alot in winter. So he wants somthing like a curtain to run the inside of it to conserve heat. Colorado winters are wicked cold(in the summer and spring and fall we won't need it, we'll have vining plants growing up the lattice.) What do you suggest we use for curtains? I am thinking a simple, not print shower curtain. Maybe even vinyl. Something with a muted color that wouldn't be too bold. It would only be pulled shut when we were in it. Any other suggestions?

    Melissa,

Write Dee & ask her how she made her pull-up curtains for her back porch...

They are very nice & pretty cool, too.

    First - it's a gazebo!

Second - if Dee can help you, go with her!
If not, however, I agree with a subtle curtain to draw about your family for privacy!

    Thanks Deb (insert "I-was-right-happy-dance" here)

I was thinking shower curtain would be easy to wipe down after a rain (open lattice top). But I also like the pull up curtains!

I was just at Denver fabrics and they have some great looking pieces of vinyl - lined and unlined - one had a cool fern print which I think would look neat behind the colorado dead stuff (winter stuff)

    Love the ferret!

I didn't think of trying Denver Fabrics. I had heard of them before, but never visited them. They don't have a sattellite store here in the Springs do you know? Or a website? I really like the fern idea...this area will be a woodland garden theme, and I hope to plant some ferns maybe this weekend or next week in that area. Thanks for the idea!

I thought they did have a store in the springs - I know they are online but I don't know the actual address - probably the obvious - Denverfabrics.com

yeah!! Good job! I think it would be simple to just make some slider curtains on a little rod and it would look nice too!! Have fun!

they don't appear to have a store in the springs. From their site i see they are in littleton and denver. I will keep my eye out at local stores for a fern print! I love that idea.
