whats your decor style/theme?
Do you have a wholehouse theme or room themes?
My living room is Victorian w/ lots of antiques, as will be our Master bed and Bath. The Family room is Americana. The kitchen is Sunflowers and sheep. The dining room is Crimson with Antiques and Brass. Aimee's room is being transformed to a french/Parisian look with pink and white and touches of black striping w/ bits of leopard and an eiffel tower. Damon's room is all army with a giant parachute on the ceiling and actual army gear from a surplus store. I am changing Ryan's over to Monster trucks right now. Their Bathroom is hot Coral & Carribean blue tropical. The craft room and work out room are unfinished yet but the bar is almost finished and it is an old cowboy saloon style with red velvet, a player piano, old wood, saddle seats, signs, swinging half doors and antique things. The kids playroom is white pine and Denim - very indestructable!! Sounds pretty hodge podge - don't know if anyone else would like it.

I really don't have a theme in my house but the best way I can describe it is "Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware, target" style. Does that make sense?
I like the natural colors and simple look. For the rooms I have done in my house I have looked at a Pottery Barn catalog and then copied the look using less expensive pieces of furniture and decor.

We are in the process of redoing the house and so far my dinning room and living room are Americana, my kitchen is sunflowers and apples and the rest of the house is a mess!!!!!
The family room will probably be Americana as well and I am not sure what we will do with the other rooms!

Style? There must be some here somewhere. We have been working on the house and they have all been major projects. Siding and windows, 1 installed sliding glass door, fences, 1 huge deck, 1 remodled bathroom, new furnace and new oil water heater, new carpet, all new appliances, repaved driveway and new kitchen floor. All of this within the last 4 years. Now I have 1 daughter in college and another a senior in high school. My style? Well I have a lot of my parents furnishings and I cant seem to part with them. I look around and the furniture I see in the stores can not compete with the quality I have. Not to mention the fact that I have a huge extended family and am not ready to give up the oak table and chairs that will seat 14 comfortably 16 in a pinch. (I bought my house for the large dining room that would fit this set). This room is country-colonial. My living room on the other hand is traditional with jewel tones. This is next on the redo list even though everything is still in good shape. I know these colors are in in in but I was ahead of the times and now I am looking for a change. The girls decorated their own rooms, princess room for 17 year old and hawiian room for 19 year old. Traditonal for my own. The "wreck room" (in the basement) is early basement- late attic. I am looking forward to girls leaving and plan on redoing the dining room then. I would like to divide this space with a smaller table and hutch, and maybe some wicker furniture on one side for a small sitting- reading-coffee-newspaper area. Guest room and a hobby room for the girls rooms. The wreck room (I never go in) this will become storage. My eat in kitchen has oak cabinets with gingham curtains, fruit and chickens. I suppose this is somewhat country and I still like it so it could stay this way for a while. My new bathroom has a beach theme to it with white wainscotting, sand colored walls and tiles, white cabinets, chrome hardware, with sea green and blue accents. This was this years project. I guess our style is a work in progress, the kids are getting older and my tastes are changing. Who knows 5 years from now I might want to chuck it all and go contemporary! But for now comfortable, casual and welcoming.

Victorian. Just starting out. Have hunter green rugs in living room and dining room. Lace curtains in both living room and dining room . Old victorian pictures in both rooms. Going to start in my bedroom during the winter. Will give me something to do with this cursed winter weather

Our current theme is whole house remodel explosion with seashells, surfboards, and sand scattered amongst the rubble.
