Unhappy I absolutely do NOT believe it!

Ok I've been wanting to re-do my bedroom in red tones. So I found the comforter on Overstock, got it, was purple sent it back. Go to Bed bath and beyond find one I love in gold. Go to Hobby Lobby and buy some really great, fru-fru pillows in reds and golds on sale 1/2 price. Am thrilled. Take one of the pillows and have paint matched (only toned down just a smidge) to one of my fav. pillows. Gonna do the walls in the new bathroom and bedroom red....maybe trim in white in the bedroom-still undecided. Yesterday I paint the bathroom walls and guess what color that paint is? The EXACT same color of the ugly tile that I just got rid of in the front bathroom!!! I lived with that tile for 40 yrs. (almost) and hated, hated, HATED that color. How can I have picked out the same color for my OTHER bathroom? Is this some sort of curse? Ok, to be completely honest....when the colors are side by side (I still have that tile in my kitchen---and I still HATE it) they look very, very similar. But on the walls in the bathrooms it looks a bit more like "dirty red" which is what I wanted. I'm just in shock. Now dh has me doubting my choice (oh goodness forbid, I haven't mentioned how similar the color is to that awful tile, he'd never like it no matter how good it looked finished) of using the dark colors in that small bathroom. The walls are tiled in white-ish marble looking tile-over halfway up the wall. So it's not like I'm painting the whole, little bathroom a dark red.....just half of it..... . I'm going to to go ahead and see it finished up before I decide to live with it or change it. Decorating was so much easier when I was younger and didn't mind painting.....

Sorry for the color problems Lisa. I hope you like it better when it dries. I hear your frustration my hard working do- it- yourself friend. Keep at it til you get what you want, Gripey will deal.

Oh no! I bet you like it when it is all done though. I would love to see the pictures of it when it is finished.
