Default Anyone have Corian kitchen counters?

I know they are not supposed to be heat resistant. If you have them, have you had any trouble with with things like your coffeemaker, toaster oven, Nesco, crockpot, etc. (that put off heat) damaging/discoloring your counters?

I've never had any trouble at the old house with them, I wish I had them here as well.

Well, I never have put anything "Hot" on the Bathroom counter.

    This doesn't help you much.

I know they get scratched up. I guess you are supposed to take very fine grit steel wool & rub out the scratches. Have never tried it myself.

Hope someone can answer your question, Quiltermom

That's a good thing to know! Thanks!

I'm leaning more and more toward using something else now. Dh has been considering using Corian in the bathrooms as well, but I don't guess my curling iron/straightening iron would be such a good thing sitting on the counter.

My Mom has it in her kitchen. It looks very nice but yet it does looked scratched up. She has a professional come once and polish it for her. I know she would never put anything hot on her counter.
