Do you have a coffee table?
If so what is on your coffee table?
We have a large square coffee table. We currently have nothing on it. Having a toddler in our house means nothing on coffee table except maybe a few toys. *LOL* I cover it with a cheap vinyl tablecloth during the day, so his toys don't scratch it up.

We have a cherry, oval-shaped Queen Anne coffee table, but I took it out 'cause without out it the living room looks bigger.

We have a huge, oblong, oak and glass coffee table in the living room. It's great cause I can put some of my wooden box collection under it. I put the one I found "At the roadside mall" in front of the couch in the family room. Have left it empty because the girls like to play games on it.

Oh, forgot to add.
When the coffee table's in the living room, it's covered with library books, magazines, newspapers and breakfast cereal.

We don't anymore. When we had one, it was all scratched up and was a catch all for all the junk in the living room. The only thing I miss about it is that it had a drawer where I kept all the remotes and TV guides in. Other than that- good riddance!

We have a large, wood with glass triangles in the corners one. It's about 15 yrs. old, oak color stain. On it are a couple of decorative bird houses, some gardening books stacked, a candle, 2 small ceramic birds, and a small bush of greenery with berries on it. Under it there is a shelf and it's covered with neat piles of books. Did I forget to mention there's also a fair amount of dust on that table as well?

I took out the coffe table about a 2 years ago..
With the triplets there just wasn't enough room for the table and all the toys and kids...
Someday I hope to have it back...

We have one, but it's formal, and our living room isn't, so for now it's in storage. I got tired of tripping over it anyway, and you are right--it was just another vertical surface to pile junk on

We haven't had a coffee table for 7 years. I refused to have one when our ds was born in '95. I could just see him falling into it and cracking his head open.
Plus I couldn't walk around the darn thing w/out giving myself a bruise.
LOL!! I agree with some of the others, it becomes a catch all for clutter. I haven't missed it one bit and my shins are thankful.

We have both a family room and a living room and neither has a coffee table. I would love to have one sort of like my neighbor has........... it's a big square that the top lifts up like a trunk and it has tons of storage space. We do our homeschool lessons in the family room so a coffee table like that would be great to store all of our materials in.

We have a huge one, (I swear this thing is as big as a kitchen table only shorter to the ground)
On it we have some books with a plant on top of them, some old wooden spools, a candle and some coasters. That is usualy where you will find the remore also.
