Question What brand of towels do you have in your home?

I'm on the hunt for new towels. I want thick luxcious ones that last for awhile, don't unravel the minute they are washed a couple of times and don't cost an arm and a leg.

What brand of towels are in your home? Are you pleased with them and would you purchase them again?

CJ, my towels are so old that the tags are gone, but they are still thick and intact! I think they were Caldwell but I couldn't tell you for sure. I do know they were expensive (Christmas gifts from my inlaws)so I think that is the key ...you get what you pay for!

Mine are by Santens.I bought them online a few years ago from kohls.com. If I remember correctly, they had a awesome sale on their towels and they were around $3 each. They've held up really well so far, I only have 12 and they get washed a lot

Sorry I don't know the name of mine but they did come from Sears and they are the good ones. I've purchased the cheap ones before and they do not last. These are the nice, thick ones and still look as good as when I bought them several years ago. We each use our own towels for the entire week before we wash them. Helps that we each have our own bathroom. I think this is the reason that our towels hold up so well though.

Bounty, the quicker picker upper??? Sorry I couldn't resist!

I also have a hodge podge, but I have to say that some I received as a wedding gift 18 yrs. ago are still going strong. They are JC Penney's brand.

Ours are a mix of wedding gifts (they came from BB&B....LOVE THEM!!!!) and I still have some that I received as gifts when I graduated HS and moved to college in 1994 (I think those came from JC Penny's or Belk). They must be good as I don't think we've bought any towels ourselves the whole time we've been together......They are in the washer now, but when they come out I'll check the tags and see if I can get a name off them

I also have a hodge podge of towels and most are incredibly old! The one's that seemed to last the longest were ones we got as a wedding gift and they were JC Penny's brand.......I still have a couple of them and other than the fact that they look bad they have lasted nearly 20 years!!

Another good brand for me has been Splendor by Frenchtex.......they are 100% egyptian cotton and I have had them for probably 10 years and they look ok.....not great but ok. I just don't remember where I bought them!

We had regular Lands' End towels hold up well for about 8 years. After about 8 yrs, the edges started fraying. I have one sil who serges her towels when they fray that way.

Recently, though, we splurged on Lands' End Turkish towels; they seem even thicker.

I just purchased all new Gloria Vanderbilt 100% Pima loop towels. They are thick, very soft and wash very well. Kohls had a good sale, so I retired all of the old towels and bought all new. It was time

The way my boys treat the towels, I buy the cheapest ones I can find, one of these days when I get "empty nest syndrome", I will go on a buying spree for many luxurious items...towels included.

Ours are Westpoint Stevens egyptian cotton. We bought them a few years ago at BJ's (warehouse club like Sam's or Costco). I've been pleased with them - nice and soft.

The tags are missing so I don't know. We bought them at Costco though years ago and they are holding up extremely well, no ravels at all and nice and soft. We also have a set from our wedding from BB&B that are still in fantastic condition after 8 years, looking only a year or so old, little to no fading, very soft, etc.
