the frugal table decor accessories thread
Share some budget decor ideas for decorating tables. It can be something you have done or have seen.
I purchased a shallow resin container. (sorta platter/bowl combo) Added pillar candles in various sizes and colors and polished pebbles/rocks and have it on my table in the livingroom. If you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online. I have been given a couple of birdhouses over the years, decorative ones. I use 2 of them, along with a stack of gardening books that Gripey has purchased down through the years, a small green bush and a large glass candle holder with a tall candle in it. None of the items were bought just for the table save the candle holder/candle. Together they make a nice little vignette.

I no longer have a coffee table
since I re-arranged my living room & got a new rocker-reclyner
. However on my kitchen table I have a bowl & platter that my mom found a few years ago in an old house they were tearing down. I have a pinapple I made out of beads in it & a nice salt & pepper shaker set a friend bought me on each side of it.

When tables are clear
, wildflowers in an old glass canning jar fit the bill. Simple & sweet.

I purchased a ceramic bowl that looks like a watermelon half at a yard sale yesterday for a buck. I've got in sitting on my kitchen table--it needs something in it though--any suggestions?

Right now on my table I have my grandmothers pitcher and bowl set with some glads in it. I figured that since it could hold water why not make it also hold flowers.

depends on the table. On my coffee table in front of my couch--nothing. DS tends to push it across the room. On my smaller tables I have a framed picture, a candle, and 1 willow tree figurine.
Can't go wrong with a picture and a candle, both frame and candle can be purchased at dollar general on the cheap.McD

table top--if its for a kitchen I use wild flowers in a clear vase with colored beads for stabilty in it, or colored mason jar like the blue one i got at a yard sale, and put what your fav things are with door hanging open. Maybe a nice potted plant with a plant poke with saying on it from dollar store, ; maybe a small wreath(grapevine light or dark stained) with sm potted fake flowers in it, ; a potpourri candle holder the ones you have mason jars inside of it.

Honestly the best table decoration is nothing or a simple table cloth - no muss no fuss and no clutter!
but thats just me and yes my coffee table is adorned with lotions, potions, treats, a candle and remotes
barely any room for me to put a drink on there!
Oh it also helps if you have a nice looking table thats in great shape that it could stand alone!
