    Default My new kitchen blinds!

Today has been an exciting day for me, what with a new Peter Rabbit cushion and seeing my dream slowcooker...

Anyway, I had an incident with one of my kitchen blinds and needed to replace it. We had seen a replacement costing £100 for the main window and guessed that the other window would be about £50 as it is half the size. So, today we tried to think of a cheaper way to solve our problem.

when we got to the cushion shop there was a huge pile of reduced price roman blinds. We bought 3 yellow ones, two for the large window and one for the small.

When we got them home we discovered that we could just slot the pole inside the track of the old blinds, so we didn't need to do any drilling or messing around at all. And they fit the windows exactly.

Originally they had been £18.99 each and were reduced to £9.49, when we got to the till they had been reduced further to £6.99 each, so we saved a lot more than we even imagined. And they look great! I'm so pleased. We couldn't have done better if we'd have had them specially made.
