    Talking the paint blob SPEAKS

I have finally finished the entry way. I have a touch up or two on the trim, have to do baseboards, and need to put down tiles but I've done my cathedral entry.

For those not blessed with one of these monsters, they are very difficult.

You enter onto a landing half way between the top floor and bottom with a half flight of stairs up and down.

Not a whole lot of space to put up ladders or framing.

    BUT I DID IT!!!!

Me and my trusty long reach pole, a pad painter, our ladder and although I didn't get the ceiling, or change out the light fixture (there is always a next time) and in spite of changing my mind about the wall colour half way

    it's DONE!

It is now a tasteful camel colour or perhaps golden beige might describe it. Accented with winter white, white with just a touch of ivory in it.

I'm working under the stairs now.

I have cleaned out my canning jar collection. I've decided to donate most of the quarts to the charity, I'm done with that stage of my life.

I'm keeping pints, and canning into those now, as dh and I just don't go thru a whole quart jar of anything anymore and haven't since ds left.

With that out of the way, I've just finished cleaning that under the stairs area (part and parcel of the whole entry way area) and I've painted the shelves (lined with them, LOTS of them, and tight little ones too!) with primer.

Tomorrow I plan to paint it a nice semi gloss latex in a pastel peach shade almost a peachy pink.

Totally at odds with everywhere else but I want to open the doors and have a nice pastel pinky middle of a tea rose in the garden sort of feel.

I'm going to clean up my Christmas and seasonal decorations, kind of pare them down and streamline, and they are going to live there with our UBREW wine that we make and the canning jars that I plan to keep.

Kind of my little closet of heaven.

    I really am enjoying life.

But this is why I've been a tad quiet.

Just high on paint fumes heheheheheheh

Oh and the primer (Behr, that I got a deal on) just sticks all over. I paint in the almost altogether, or it would ruin my clothes.

Makes me look like a walking blob of paint.

It does sound great! Camel and white mmmmm.
Makes me look at my dinged walls and cringe. Now if I could only be alone.........
Well as you just said I will have to wait for that stage........patiently or not.
