Default Any ideas for a 2 year old's room?

I would really like to paint my dd's room in a light shade of yellow. I found the color I want, but I don't know how I'm gonna tie everything else in. What other colors to use, etc. It's a complete makeover. New carpet, etc. I would like to go with a neutral carpet color, but am worried about stains. Any tips at all would be appreciated.

We painted our girls' room a fairly bright yellow. I LOVE it! We laid down laminate flooring (the kind that looks like hardwoods) and a braided rug. The rug is pastels. I don't have any ideas on carpet color. Sorry.

I use a lot of purple and lavendar to accent the yellow. They look lovely together. I also bought brushed pewter drawer pulls for their dresser.

I went with a gray color wall to wall carpet in the kids rooms (pink and blue walls) and the guest room. I wanted neutral, but didn't want brown.

I would think pale yellow would tie in with any other pastel color.

My daughter's room is pale pink and my mom made a purple/pink quilt for her bed. I took the scraps and appliqued butterflies onto an old white sheet for her curtain in her room. That's just what I did, my dd is 2 and this will grow with her for awhile.

I love the look of royal blue with a nice yellow and some white for accents. A dark rich blue rug does not show alot of stains and as she grows older it can match alot of other colors. But no matter what you choose, have fun decorating it

When I was raising my grandsons I did their room in moon, sun and stars. I painted the wall a nice navy blue, got some sun, moon and star stencils and stenciled the ceiling. I also stenciled the ceiling fan blades. I then made a chair rail out of wood and stenciled sun moon and star underneath. I found some really cheap material with sun, moon and stars and made their curtains out of that. The switchplate I also stenciled. They loved it and it was really colorful.
