    Talking Here's my downstairs

There are A LOT of pictures, so I'll link most of them rather than have them show up in the post & slow down loading

    First, my kitchen

Here is the view from my dining room doorway, my stove is out of the frame behind the end of the sink, fridge is to the left and out of the frame:

Between the windows is a folding table my mom let me borrow after Christmas. I use that for a work surface since I obviously have little to no counters.

    My stove area

My only countertop, the fridge (that I hate) and the doorway to my pantry:

At the other end of the above picture & out of the frame is the door to my mudroom. This is one of my 'problem areas'

    Here is my dining room:

This room is a work in progress. We are saving for a new dining room set and we are redoing the walls. This past summer we stripped off 4 layers of wallpaper. We are in the 'repair the damn cracks' stage

Another view of the dining room, with the built in china cabinet:

My front foyer from the dining room, those are my double front doors. There's a vestibule between the first set & the outside set of doors, with closets on both ends of the vestibule:

Picture of the doors w/ one door open. Both sets open inwards...made it easier to get all our furniture in with the WIDE doorway

Foyer towards the dining room doorway:

My stairs that are to the left of the above picture. Never mind the crap under the stairs. Dh has promised it will go back to the attic at the end of the month. Hopefully he will have sold most of it at the toy show we are going to Jan 29th.

    More coming....

You have a lovely home Heather, thank you for sharing with us. But I have one question, how did you rate closets in an older home? We have a very old home and only got 3 closets.

I don't know, we seriously lucked out. We have a closet in almost every room.
    Downstairs:
Walk-in closet off Master bathroom, w/ built in dresser.
Two closets in the front foyer.
    One closet in the mudroom.

    Upstairs:
closet in youngest dd's room, long and L-shaped, not quite walk in.

walk-in w/ built in dresser in oldest dd's room.

    regular closet in spare room.

regular closet in boy's toy room, but this one has been added..you can see it in the picture of my upstairs back hallway....it kind of sticks out at the top of the back stairs.

There's no closet in the boy's bedroom, living room, office, or dining room. Pretty impressive for a house built in 1882
