How to make an infusion

If you are using soft leaves or flowers of herbs for a remedy then you will need to make an infusion.



To make an infusion generally speaking unless otherwise stated in the formula you would use approximately 1oz of dried or 3oz of fresh herb to 1 pint of boiling water.



Put the herbs into a a warmed teapot or other china (not metal) container and pour the water over them.



Allow the herbs to steep for ten minutes then strain off the herbs and use immediately unless the recipe states otherwise.
