What would you do?
I am in the middle of a bathroom redo. I know it's a little plain but I'm not done yet. I just hung the shower curtain but I am not happy with the way the seam looks. It was unavoidable as that was what I had to work with. I have three ideas on how to fix it . What do you think?

a. Cut and sew on a strip of burlap over the seam. I like the burlap because its more rustic.
b. Sew on a wide black ribbon and maybe sew some buttons on the ribbon for decoration.
c. Learn to live with it!
or d. I also have some brown lace that I could remove from the old curtain and sew it on but it would require some piecing as the old curtain wasn't as wide as the new one. Plus I think it might look too fancy.

Oh Ann! It's beautiful! As always, you are gifted. When can you come and do my house?!?!? I would go with the black ribbon with buttons on it. I think the black would tie in all of the black accents nicely!

I wish I had been able to take a before picture. Would you believe that someone had sponge painted this bathroom in Huntergreen and GOLD! Yuck! I painted the walls in a cream and painted the cabinet black. I also put molding around the mirror and painted it black. I am working on a Trash to treasure medicine cabinet in the garage and I want to put up a border but I haven't found one I like yet. I also need a rug. It takes a long time when you have little to no money to work with.

I think you did a great job. If the seam bothers you that much, I would probably do a black ribbon with either red/yellow button or smaller ribbon in the middle. If it were my project I might also put a button under each tab with colors that go in the bathroom. Maybe alternate the colors. That's just me though.
Great job!

The red and yellow won't always be in the room. The red berries are just for the winter , in the spring I change them. The yellow candles are only yellow because thats the color I had. I stole them from another room , but I am going to do a treatment to them that will turn them brown. The things that are permanent
are to be brown , black or cream. I like to change this up with the season.
Also , does anybody think I should make a toilet set cover from the same material as the curtain?

on second thought
I pined on a ribbon but I think its too much. It's not in keeping with the primitive style. I think just some LARGE black buttons at the top will be just the right touch. I guess I will have to learn to live the seam.

Or go for the burlap--very prim. I like the way the ribbon looks, but you are the one that has to live with it! I would say no to the toilet seat cover, personally I don't see the need.

I personally like the way the black ribbon looks. It's looks nice with the other black accents you have in the bathroom.
You did an awesome job creating a very lovely bathroom on a "shoestring" budget."We fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen; For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."
