Lol, that was a funny story. Mice not so funny, I know.
The last one we had our cat chased it down and flopped down on top of it, all you could see is it's beady little eyes and nose poking out from under the front of the cat and it was squeaking for its life....Hubby finally chased it down and disposed of it as I was....yeah you guessed it.....sitting on the kitchen table.

Thank God my cats take care of the job. We have a field in the back of the house so sometimes those little creatures sneak in. Better my cats take care of them than me. lol

I think the mouse in our shed must be a relative of your one, Its managed to eat a bit of whats in trap, set off trap and not get caught. I said to my mum its mousey impossible, and started humming the tune to mission impossible, Im sure having kids has driven me mad

Hope you catch them. I will never forget when my cat brought one up from the basement and then left it free in the living room..

How about those sticky traps. That way when they step on them they are stuck for good

hope u get it (them). when i was pregnant with merrick our friend had her pet mouse and cat there (she was supposed to live with us but didnt). her cat chased a mouse from the bedroom to the living room. she didnt get it, it went behind the water heater and didnt see it after that. anyways i thought that the friend's mouse had gotten out of its cage but it was still there. i miss lena, she was the sweetest cat i knew.

We had this issue a couple months ago. We used those covered traps and they worked pretty well. We used peanut butter, too.
