More of a rant!!!!
I have told dh NOT to do the laundry a thousand times. And what does he do? Some laundry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
I heard washer going on rinse, ran in, (he said it was his clothes), okay. Put in some fabric softner. When it was done, I looked into overloaded washer, to find 1/2 towels, 1/2 things to be hand washed, and TWO of his shirts. Now I am washing fabric softner out of the towels, etc....

... he tries?
I have to sympathize with you... the Old Man will shove so much in to the washer, and I have to run in and take some out so the front loader can CLOSE without a bungee cord
He always looks so sheepish when I do it "I was just trying to be frugal'
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

LOL, I'm glad he tries to help, but, the clothes can't even swish around because it is so jam packed. He just always tries to do some when he thinks I won't notice. LOL

Even tho he tried he just made more work for you.

Mine does his own clothes only! I always remind him to use less detergent and not to "over load" the washer. We have the laundry in the basement of our apt. complex. When he doesn't listen to me, his clothes won't dry in the dryer if he overloaded the washer. I make sure I wash my own clothes and I handle our sheets and towels myself too

On the positive side, he was trying to help.
Unfortunately, it just made more work for you.

My dh doesn't know how to run our new front loaders and I have conveniently not been available when he asks me to show him how to run them!
I will..........eventually!!

Mine used to do his own laundry but since we got married and I got new front loaders he has not done any. Which is the way I want it.
The closest he comes to doing laundry is taking something out of the dryer that he needs.Debra

Ahh, the joys of overloading...blech.
I have a small laundry basket by the washer. When DH does laundry, he loads the basket, then the washer - it helps avoid overloading. Somewhat...It is what it is.

DBF does all our laundry. Doesn't like the way I fold. then he puts each pile (seperated into categories lol) onto each of our beds to be put away.
