    I have been doing a lot of blog surfing this morning. Nester has a "It doesn't have to be perfect to be beautiful" carnival going on. There are a lot of inspirational posts and great pictures.

    The blog reminds me of a poem (yes, yes, I was an English teacher...). Sometime check out "Pied Beauty" by Gerard Manley Hopkins. He celebrates the beauty of variety and imperfection and gives praise to God for all the diversity. You can probably find it on-line if you google in the title.

    It also reminds me of the time we lived in Japan. We discovered that there were very few orthodontists there, mainly because the culture viewed crooked teeth as a positive personality trait that made you uniquely you. So one person's disaster is another's beauty mark!
