Default Your biggest organizational challenge is ... ?

Just wondering what everyone's biggest challenge is when it comes to organizing?

I'd have to say that mine is that I had ADD.

I get myself nice and organized but it just doesn't seem to stay that way very long and it's so frustrating!

Do kids count here? Because I cant seem to keep THEM organized!! I am the biggest clean freak and organizer on the plante and it seems they detest anything in its place or clean!!

Seriously, our board games, I keep them in the laundry room on top of the 2nd freezer and I need to install my cabinets in there for the board games. But, until I find the cabinets, I cannot install them!!

    For me it's....

    PAPER!

2 schools, 3 sport teams, dance, cadets and kindergarten the paper multiplies. The schools do the newsletter by email now, but if I don't print it.... I don't read i tor can't find it when needed.

Then put 4 kids into the factor, plus 3 childcare kids, toys come into it, those are easy to tidy up/

My biggest challenge is an 1100 sq ft home with dh, me, 5 kids, future son in law, 2 large dogs, 3 cats, 4 daycare kids and everything that comes with all of the above.

Paperwork. We lead rather simple lives, but when it comes to filing away receipts, etc., we lead lives of quiet desperation. So I don't have a lot of paper, but it sits in a pile on my desk.

No excuses. I have a filing cabinet and an accordian file. I just haven't put the papers away in them.

    For me the following things:

    1. 3 of the people who have things at my house are NOT ME. MY stuff is whittled down to the bare necessities, sorted and organized. DH has SOOO much techno-crap. If I so much as look at it with an orgaanizing eye, he says "don't even think about it." My sons, although they no longer live with us, have all of their childhood stuff waiting till they get a permanent home. They are in college/finishing up grad school and finding jobs, so they are in limbo, and I will have some of their junk FOREVER!

    2. I am 54 years old, have always done work that gets UNDONE, and I'm beaten down. I do what I can do, but the spirit isn't willing anymore.

I'd rather do other things... read, spent time with my family & pets. I just can't seem to make it a priority. Being organized in great, but it never ends & that can be quite discouraging. You sort & group & toss & clean AND then you do it over & over again. OK I'm rambling... maybe one day I'll figure it out. Oh, did I mention I have a hard time letting go of stuff. Guess we can't all be organized.

My biggest challenge is the dining room table. For some reason it becomes a catch all. TODAY it has on it now as we speak: 2 diaper bags, my Bible, notebook, pen, the mail from several days, and a plate left from lunch.

Mine seems to be keeping up with putting things away. I do enjoy seeing things in their place however I get lazy about constantly doing this.

I'd have to say that paper is a problem here as well.

I'm a compulsive list-maker [though not always grocery lists! ]

((Hugs)) Cheryl, that's got to be tough ... I have enough problems with just my own stuff here and no one elses.

I get overwhelmed with things and honestly I don't have a lot but somehow when I try to organize it, it just doesn't stay that way. Frustrating for sure!
