Default How to get a white kitchen sink clean!?

Okay, I've cleaned my white kitchen sink. BTW, I hate it.

I've got it mostly white. I've scoured away and used bleach. My stainless steel pots have left what looks like pencil marks on my sink. I can't get it off!

    Help me!

I've used a magic eraser on my white porcelain sink and it's gotten a lot of my black marks and stains off. It's not perfect, but it definately looks better.

I LOVE Soft Scrub with bleach. It usually gets all the stains off for me. I will scrub it in and let it sit for a few minutes. HTH

Fill the sinks with hot water and bleach and let it soak. Scrub with a soft scrunchy and rinse.

Soft scrub may help take the marks off unless they are through the procelin

this is an easy one: I have a white kitchen sink too. Spray clorax is what I use (actually, I use the walmart brand with bleach for like 96 cents) - just spray, walk away, wipe down.......
    works like a charm!!

My mom has a white enamel sink that we have cleaned with Comet or Ajax for 30 years.
Her cast iron skillets would always leave marks in it.
We would put some Comet or Ajax in the sink, dampen it with water to make a paste, let it sit for a while, then scrub it clean with a vegetable brush or with a
    sturdy paper towel.
The marks always came off, and the sink looked like new.

i have a white porcelain sink that has finish wear. Everything stains it. I use Bar Keepers Friend. Dampen the sink, sprinkle, scrub, let sit, scrub again and rinse.

Add another BarKeeper's Friend user to the List! I also use a paste of baking soda and vinegar (or lemon jiuce) to keep it fresh-smelling/looking between heavy duty cleanings.

OH! And I cannot find it here in Alabama, but I loved a product called "ZUD", too! A professional chef-Friend recommended it, and it works quite well on porcelain.

Finally, in a pinch, I've had success with toothpaste...The stain-removal, bleaching-action kind. It took out some pretty nasty rust stains that appeared when a visitor left a pan in the sink.

Hope you and your Sink have a GREAT day!

I agree with Mandi0808....my Mom had a white porcelin sink that we would use Comet on. It always gleamed afterwards. Actually, comet is the only cleaner I buy. (I use vinegar/baking soda for everything else.)

I use comet daily & I have used magic eraser. My sink is clean and sanitary, it just has some of those 'pencil lines' you speak of. I've read suggestions before of using bar-keepers friend. I think I am going to pick some up today and give it a try.

My mom always used ZUD or Barkeeper's friend. I'm a magic eraser girl. Love those things.

The day I responded to this post, I went to the store for groceries. I picked up some Bar Keepers friend. It's really true!! It really does work. Many years I was told of barkeepers friend and just never thought it would be worth it to spend more on that than the old stand by 'comet'. I think for always now I will keep a canister of BKF under the sink to clean up those gray lines. I will probably still use comet for cleaning, but if I have company coming or something like that out will come BKF!

This is what I was gonna say, too. If this doesn't do it, I have always found that the bleach products (as mentioned) work for stains.

If you are talking about the black streaks left in the sink from things like cast iron skillets, etc-------anything with a bit of 'grit-but-not-scratch' will do it. I use Bar Keepers Friend or Bon Ami (cheaper) for everyday swiping out marks, then a bleach product once a week for food/coffee stains.

Dishwasher detergent w/ bleach does a good job too, if you don't have something better handy.
