Talking Okay... I am now officially a fruit fly hater..

I know.. I can't edit the title.. but it should be NOW I am an official fruit fly hater.....lol

I have tried all the "tried but true" ways of getting rid of these pests. They just love my kitchen and when it was cold they found a warmer place my bathroom. And my rabbits cage.....So I waged a war on them thursday. I tried a few traps that I concocted..
    Here is what worked.
A quarter piece of bread with pancake syrup all over it. Both sides. Then fold up in a napkin, seam side down. Squish so the syrup soaks a bit into the napkin. So when you smack it, it doesn't come open. I layed these on the counter in the kitchen and bathroom. Leave the light on. With fly swatter in hand slowly sneak up on the buggers... You only get one swat...they are quick.. been killing the things off quickly.
I just wanted to share my unusual delightful way of ridding of the fruit flies...
    What ever works, right???????

I poured a little balsamic vinegar into a juice glass and squirted a drop of soap into it and left it on the counter for a few days. They are attracted to the balsamic and the soap breaks the surface tension so once they are in they cannot get back out. I must have gotten 75 that way! Rinsed them down the drain and then into the dishwasher THAT glass went. Not as exciting, but VERY successful.
