    Default Mini-Purge Challenge! Join Me!

Okay everyone...so, we filled our grocery bags with trash before the New Year so that we could start out the year on a clean, uncluttered note. I'm guessing that as we near the end of January and some of us have been stuck inside with some freezing temperatures that we are beginning to amass some junk again.

So, let's take a few minutes, grab a trash bag, grocery bag, or any other type of bag and go through the house and fill it up. I bet you can all find enough to fill the bag if you do NOT just horizontal surfaces, but go into drawers, cupboards, under things, look through piles, etc.

Anyone want to join me and get rid of the junk? Let's make it disappear!

I did this today, but it was more because I had a breakdown over the kids dragging toys and crap out and leaving it all over the floor. I filled two garbage bags and a huge bin full and took it to the basement.

Working on this right now....shouldn't be hard. I think I could do this just in the kid's room.

Yeehaw! PMS hit me at the right time this week and I've created a central 'dumping' station in my basement. All the little garbage cans will get emptied into the large one in the central area and that one will get emptied weekly or more often as needed. So far I've done 2 runs with it this week plus a black garbage bag full of 'declutter' items not deemed worthy of donating.

I've been working on other things this weekend (homework, and making some cards), but I'm tackling my daughter's clothes in a few minutes. She has way too many, mostly second hand from my niece. She really only needs enough for a week or so, and a couple of nice things for sunday school.

    Wish me luck

I went through papers and magazines and catalogues, got a whole paper grocery bag full of recyclable paper! Wow, where does all of this paper come from??? My desk looks 100% better. Now I just need to tackle my filing!

Count me in, I have quite a few places in my house that need this. I am going to start with my computer desk!!! Thanks for the reminder to continue to do this, after awhile you sort of think that you have it under control and don't have to do it as often!!
It will interesting to see how much everyone gets rid of!! I know that I have a few clothing items on my computer desk that need to be cut into shop rags!!!
