We actually are pretty tidy people, and it helps that we have big closets! The toughest part for me is dusting. I hate to dust.

I just glanced at the linked page and it has some really good ideas, I'll have to read it throuroughly later when I have more time!
DH and I are the only ones allowed in our bedroom (well, and the dogs). The kids have been banished from it (since they used to leave toys on the floor in there). And since just DH and I go in there, I usually let it get pretty messy!

I like the ideas in that article. My bedroom is the biggest challenge area of my house because it seems to be the dumping ground for stuff waiting to go up to the attic (the stairs to the attic pull down in my closet--genius design there
), and we hang out in my room with the kids at night watching tv often. So their stuff gets left behind too. Plus it's on the second floor, so when I clean for guests, I focus on the main living areas on the first floor. I really need to concentrate on straightening in there too.

Our bedroom is right off the livingroom, so it can get viewed by anyone who visits. I always keep it clean and tidy and looking nice.
