    Default Springtime Mini-Purge Challenge

I don't know about you, but I find that in spring, things can tend to "collect" around my home. We are spending more time outside, so I'm not always looking at the mess or clutter, and I tend to forget it's there, until we come inside and then I'm too tired to do anything about it! My guess is that, right around now, I'm not the only person here with a little extra "stuff" hanging around the house.

So, my challenge for the weekend is this:

Take 3 grocery sized bags (trash or otherwise) and see if you can fill them with "stuff" that needs to go. Then, take them directly outside to the trash. With all the allergies and swine flu and other variety of illnesses that are going around these days, a cleaner house can't help but improve the quality of your health! Less stuff, less dust, fewer items on which germs can settle.

Do it for your health, both mental and physical! Are you with me?

I'm going to list some items on Freecycle this weekend. I'm going to continue going through and purging my record collection also.

OMGosh, what records? I'm a collector and I won't part with mine, I've had most of them since my teens.
Oh yeah this was about a purge? I can do this, I hope.

Great to see so many people participating!

I hit the foyer and living room. The foyer is where we "drop" things when we come in the house. The living room is where we "dump" things when we are short on time. Two grocery bags later, both are looking great!

I'm in! I have lots to purge and I'm just ramping up to a cleaning frenzy! LOL I went through my desk last night and got 1 whole plastic grocery bag full of miscellaneous papers, etc. This is on top of all of the papers I put in recycling. Where the heck does all of this paper come from anyway?

I've been in de-junk mode. I have a trunk load for the mission I'll drop off tomorrow. I also set a chair out on the road with a free sign as it was too big too get in the car. It is gone.

I've got to post 2 monitors on freecycle yet today.

I just got rid of a computer and monitor that I've been tripping over in the laudey room for the past year. Felt great!

I have so much to clean out that I'm feeling overwhelmed. I don't understand where it all comes from. I don't shop, I purge constantly, yet I still seem to be drowning in stuff.

I don't have time to gather things up for freecycle, although I am responding to any 'wanted' ads that I can. I think I can do the three small bags of trash though. Actually tomorrow is recycling day, so I will do a box of papers tonight instead of a bag.
