Awk!
I was putting a new pkg of TP away and it required I move the stockpiled stuff in the bathroom. Something landed on my head and I was afraid it was a spider (I'm allergic). I looked up...
Splat!
Our roof is leaking....
So much for the vacation, so much (maybe) for the party next year, ahhhhh spit!

Last time it leaked was on my birthday, near Thanksgiving. It seems to leak when we get a LOT of rain.
DH thinks maybe it's leaking in the same place. Hopefully, he can patch it.
However, all that said, since it has leaked twice in the past 6 months we *need* to find a way to get the roof done. DH is handy, but frankly doesn't want to do it by himself. I can help, but so far, he hasn't asked!
I think a lot of the problem is that we don't have scaffolding or such. There's no easy way to get up there and work safely at the moment, sigh. I guess we'll have to work on that!

Well I was going to say maybe since you just caught it, it will be early enough to be an easy fix, but if it's not the first time I'd be skeptical. We have one of those roofs that only leak when it rains really hard and not every time too and just when you think it's fixed, drip drip drip. Crossing my fingers it will not turn into a costly fix.
Be glad it wasn't dripping all over your dining table where you had all of your tax papers laid out, like me. Grrr

Judi ours leaked only during hard rain too. It was a piece of lashing that got lose and needed a tiny bit of caulk by a window.
Hope it isn't too bad!~July 19 saving goal for event $104/$1000
