Seeking Rubbermaid Roughneck bins
Where can I buy these?
I need to clean up and store a bunch of stuff and I would like to use the big blue Rubbermaid Roughneck bins, like these: http://www.enasco.com/prod/images/pr...6/AC002484.jpg
My problem is that I don't know where to get them. I have no car during the week (we are a 1 car household) and I dislike the idea of driving around all over searching for them. There are no home goods stores in my area, I would have to go 30-40 minutes north or 30-45 minutes west to get to a shopping area. And I sure as heck don't want to spend a hot Saturday afternoon wasting gas to search both sides of town.
I have looked online at Lowes, Ace, Target, etc and either they don't have the bins, or they only sell them online. I only need 2-3 of them so I don't want to order 12 of them from the wholesale places.
Help me , please. What stores do you know that sell the large bins (48 gal) ?Use it up, Wear it out,

Walmart, Kmart? I can't think of anywhere else

Your local Walmart, Kmart, Target, Big Lots will have them or another brand similar to them. It will not be cost effective to order online because you will have to pay shipping to get them to you.

The ones I have I found at Walmart years ago. Not sure if they currently have them or not. Not something I currently look for.
Have you tried calling a few stores to see what they have in stock ?--------My signature--------

bought two yesterday on clearance for $7.00 ea. for the 18 gal. size at k-mart. . Big lots had sterlite for $5.00 awhile back. I use them for everthing. Garage sales, clothes storage, put the garden hose in. anything and everything. Forgot school supplies. Big lot has the clear and tray ones too.

I get mine at Wal-Mart. My Wal-Mart has a variety of sizes and colors too.

I've always gotten mine at WalMart & Target. I think I've seen them at Home Depot as well.

I know a lot of the online places like Lowes will let you order them online and will ship them to the store for you, sometimes for free. But I am like the rest and usually buy my at Walmart or Kmart. Although my Walmart has quit selling them and now only carries Sterlite.

Thanks for the suggestions. I did some shopping today. Kmart did not have what I was looking for. Walmart had one of the medium sizes and I got 3, but I really dislike shopping there because the place smells of urine and is disgusting and dirty. Sutherlands (hardware) had a bunch of the bigger size that I wanted but no lids at all. It got too hot out before I got to Target, so maybe another weekend. My little cleanup project has turned into rearranging the furniture in two rooms (not my idea either) ... I will keep looking.

It looks like the biggest in that style is 31 gal. You can type in your zip code and find out where to buy them. In my area it looks like Lowes is the only place now. I looked online at Walmart.com and they have a lot of the Sterilite but only to 35 gal.

I would call the stores before I traveled all over......if you have the time to be on 'hold' for awhile.
Lots of my stores have gone to the sterilte brand and I like them as they are clear and I can see what is in them, which saves some labeling.
Do you have a Fred Meyer in your area? They used to carry them. Doubt that you have a Shop-Ko....think they are just west.
