Metal storage containers?
Do they make metal storage containers similar in size and purpose to rubbermaid totes? Air tight lids, stackable? Rodents can chew through plastic, I would feel better if I had metal storage for my flour and such.

container store makes glass ones.
I love them for leftovers etc.
They are WAY more sturdy and eco-friendly than those plastic ones!

If you're looking for long-term large storage I would go with the metal garbage cans, DBF stored a bunch of clothes in one out in the barn and we've never had problems!

That's exactly what I was picturing in my head - except in my head they cost a lot less
I will have to collect them slowly. I got a great deal on some big plastic bins with snap locking tops for my fabric, but I really want to migrate all the food to glass and metal.
The metal garbage cans are a great idea as well, although I haven't managed to find any yet. If I can find something midsized and fairly attractive, I can put it in a corner of the kitchen for the flour, rather than having to keep it downstairs.
