There's a Snake in my House!
Ahhhhhh. It's just a little green thing, but I HATE SNAKES. Right now it's in the basement. Let's hope it stays there. I have never had a snake in my house, I wouldn't even begin to imagine how it got in there!

What are you going to do about it? As for me - I would be out of there - don't do snakes. Good luck.

My worst nightmare. We had a few snakes in our old house. Seriously, the creepiest thing.
I know that isn't helpful, but I do know how you feel.

LOL - I didn't know there was anything I could do about it. There are about half a million boxes down there (my husband's a slight pack rat) and there's no way to know where it went. I also don't think the insurance co would be too keen on me torching the place
So I'm stuck with it for now

I would be gone. Yuck just the thought .I would be sending hubby down there. Since all the boxes are his.

You can't leave the basement abandoned just for the fear of snake. It would have been disappeared yet, even then, you may take the help of professionals.

EEK! Totally freaked out by the very idea. We found a large box turtle in our wet part of our basement here about 2 weeks back. About 12 inches across. I'm not sure how big they get. But now that you mentioned snakes I've got to wonder after that turtle got in...Yikes!
I can't even imagine how you go about hunting down and getting rid of it, oh gosh, yeah send your husband down to do the job. This sounds like a job for a guy. I'm such a girl, I admit it. I'll cook the meals and darn your socks and you handle the yucky suff like spiders and snakes. That's the unspoken agreement in my house.~~~

The green ones don't bother me, but once when I was living in Florida I looked over and saw a rattlesnake on the table nearby! Whew.

That sounds like a little gater snake. Won't bite but I wouldn't touch it. Last week I went to hang clothes and my clothes pin bucket wa sitting on the outside steps. I opened the doors and reached for the bucket.......you guessed it, there was a red belly racer sitting or rather laying in top of the pins. We decided they are livingin the lilies out back so the lilies are getting moved as soon as I find a place away from the house to move them

OMG! I live in Florida, and that is my worst nightmare! I have two cats indoors, so that they can alert me to any "intruders".
