Default I have a mouse in the house!

Thank heavens the stray cat I took in a few years ago is on full alert. Go~ Speedy ~go~ catch that mouse!!!! I just hope he doesn't catch it until Dh or the boys get home.

Now this weekend we will have to inspect outside to see where it got in. We also had one about 6 weeks ago after not having any for years.

Ours pushs food from their dish into a pile and waits for the mouse. Then they sit and watch it eat it. No chasing or anything just watch them and when they get tired of that they go to bed lol. Great mousers that they are lol

My Jack Russell LOVES it when a mouse gets in the house ~ he's a much better mouser than any cat we've ever had, LOL!

I had a cat who unfortunately ran away but he loved to catch mice and then sit there and eat them right in front on me.

I think at my house the mice like to toy with me. Seriously, they will run across the floor, stop and look at me like catch me if you can and run off. If I look close enough they might even be sticking their tongues out at me as they do so

I'm sure your kitty will do a fine job of
    mousing!

    Good luck!

Another thing I read somewhere in internet land about mice is to put a small dish/open container of Pine-Sol, straight, not diluted around the house in random areas (out of the reach of pets or small children of course). The smell will expel/repel mice. It seemed to work for me in the past, if you don't mind the Pine-Sol smell in your house.

Ok, so I think mice are cute. But I would not want them in my house. I don't think my cat would be a good mouser. Probably would just try to play or sit and watch it or sit on it. Seriously when she play with her toys she will sit on them. The pet ferret I had would be all squashed under her squirming around trying to get free. Actually pretty funny to see.

Hope you get your mouse situation under control. Good luck!!

Amy I had never heard that about Pinesol. Maybe I could spray some around the foundation? The cat is still sitting by the couch. It must still be under there.

Better a mouse than the snake that was curled up in my towels a week ago.

ha-ha, this morning my cat brought me a mouse and laid it on the deck just for me to see. lol They always seem proud of that.

    I do love mice though.

I had a cat once that would throw the mouse up in the air with it's mouth and catch it again. She did this over and over. So funny.

There is a field in the back of our house and the little critters love to find a warm spot in our house. My cats don't put up with this.
