serious dusting
I am having some drywall work done in my house and now everything is covered in a fine white dust. It seems to be on every surface, in every nook and cranny; nothing has escaped. Heck, I even saw a dust bunny sneeze!
Any good ideas or tips for efficiently dusting an entire house, including walls, appliances, windows, etc?
Thank you,
bachelor

I, myself, until it's done wouldn't mess with anything other than what had to be. The dust is in the air and it's going to be there for quite awhile.
Some vacumns have an attachment to suck stuff out of the air. Rainbow is one.
I'd cover everything I could cover and deal after the fact. That's just me. Been there to many times and you can drive yourself crazy.Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.

When we were re-tiling my bathroom, we had the dust everywhere. I vacuumed and wiped general surfaces down daily. If possible, tarp over the tables and shelves so the dust sticks to that vs your 'stuff'?
It was a pain and to this day....I'm still finding 'dusty' surfaces and it's not regular dust, its that tiling/dry wall grimy dust

So, next time, you make sure there is a curtain (bin bags) covering the door opening, fixed to the doorpost with masking tape. If you use fabric to do this: make it slightly wet with a spray, so that the dust will stick. This way, you limit most of the dust to one room. Don't walk in and out too often.

Thank you to all!
Hopefully there will not be a next time; but we did try to isolate the work areas. However, each room in the house needed some drywall work.
I guess it is broom, shop towels and the shop vac to the rescue...

Assuming, since your mood said cold, that you live in a cold climate, I would also make sure I have covered the heat/air intake vents well. AND check your furnace filter.
That stuff will get sucked into the furnace and may not be the best thing for it. The air intakes are probably more important than the others.
