    Default Moving! :)

    So, I started out this year with a general decluttering goal. I'm not a packrat, so I haven't had much to get rid of. But, I've been trying.

    I decided to look through the lens of someone who was moving. Is this an item I really want to pack, move to a new place, and unpack?

    It's been working, but I'm sure I could do better.

    Then, dh and I decided to list the house and move!

    Wow! I was right! I'm tossing and donating left and right now! It's such a great motivator!

    I wasn't sure I'd hit 2010 things to fling by the end of 2010, but I have no doubt now!

    Congrats! Are you moving far away? Bigger house, smaller house? Or is all that still in the works as this was just decided very recently?

    I love moving because I get to have the house in my ideal state, empty (if only for the last few minutes before I leave).

    CONGRATS on the new decision!! Definitely a big motivation to go through what you have. How soon are you planning to move?

    Moving is a great way to purge! It's amazing the stuff you find when cleaning a house to go on the market! Hope you have a quick and easy sale.

    We are getting ready to sell and I seem to be stalling on getting things done, and putting too much effort into strange unimportant tasks. I just painted the furnace room floor

    The house is listed, the decluttering is done, and at this point, it's maintenance. Making sure the place is all picked up before we go anywhere in case someone wants to show the house. We have our second open house today.
