    Default What's up this Weekend?

Weekends are when I try to get the more intensive projects done - painting and other things that are hard to do with constant interruptions. It's also when I do any necessary shopping, as the car isn't home during the week. I kind of wish weekends were just for relaxing, but there is just too much to do.

We're supposed to get rain so I am going to try to get as much done inside as possible and hope for sun next weekend to do the outdoor projects. I have baseboard to paint and install, some painting in the basement and I need to tear down and replace some panelling.

What's everyone else up to this weekend?

thankfully, not too much! I think I will pot up my tomato and pepper plants that have been hanging out in the window sill and getting way too "leggy lately". Other than that, I think we will be working outside and just hanging around. Maybe go to church this afternoon, and then defintely tomorrow.. nice and lazy weekend - but it's the calm before the storm!

Staying at home. There will be cleaning and organizing because my BIL and his family just moved out and there is room to now spread out.

Oh, and waiting for the baby to be ready to be born. Hopefully anyday now.

i repaired, hand tilled and in the english style "spade edged" a neglected flower bed in my front yard. then i threw down masses of french marigold seeds onto the soil.

sadly my front garden has been neglected since the divorce. only now has the gardening urge/gardening creativity reappeared.

i am trying something new. LDS church advises savings or debt repayment should be the same as the tithe. 10% each.

I am seriously bored and fighting it tooth & nail. I went to work for two hours just to tackle an issue that I couldn't get to during the week, then put up a shelf in my bedroom that has been laying on the floor for weeks, then cleaned hedgehog houses, I am doing things but my brain is SO FREAKIN' BORED. I am NOT GOING TO SPEND MONEY. It will not stop wanting to go shopping or out to eat. I have been fighting urges all day. Thankfully my daughter is home today so I have been chit chatting with her and finding things to do.

My bf is working and was with his kids today, I find that my idle time while he is occupied is the most difficult. So I've been trying to plan things to do when I know he'll be busy.

We do a bulk of a shopping too. Today, it was groceries and Home Depot and meat from Sobey's. I also got out back, dismantled the maple bush tree and then finished digging out the second lilac bush. It was +20 today, so it was a no-brainer that I'd get out and get more work done.

Tomorrow, it's a trip to the nursery for raspberry bushes. I have plans to dig out the rest of the maple bush stump and then remove the shasta daisy plants. Once that's done, I'll fill all of the holes and start to rope off the front yard for grass seed spreading.

Monday is a huge day for me. I need to knock out everything that I can tomorrow if I want to get the bushes put in Monday afternoon.

I hope to: sweep & mom the entire house, scrub bathrooms & purge old unworn clothes. That is my goal We'll see what tomorrow bring as today was the out and about day but I'm sure I'll pop out to the grocery store tomorrow too. I'll be surprised if I get to stay in all day!

Yesterday was opening day for Little League, so the morning was spent there. But, in the afternoon, we dropped the kids off at my parents and looked at houses with our realtor.

Today, I've got some laundry going, but we are having an open house, we we're all heading to my parents for a few hours. Tonight, I'll finish the laundry, but the good news is that the hosue is already spotless!
