We nest the ones that cooperate and have the lids stacked next to them on two shelves of a small stand alone cupboard.
The yoghurt/sour cream/margarine tubs are what we use to store leftovers in the freezer or use them for when we give leftovers away. I've given soup & baking to friends in them. These are also great when traveling - you can buy the bigger bag of chips (snacks etc) and dump them in there to protect them from getting crushed into crumbs.
I'd love to switch to glass ones with the lids for home use only - leftovers after dinner but for now its not a necessity.2012: The Year Of The Purge!

I took a shelf out of a lower cabinet and put in one of those 2 drawer sterlight plastic units. I keep all of my small plastic containers and lids in there, stacked, with the lids on their sides but still in the drawer. this leaves enough space on top of the drawer for lg cutting boards and on the side for tall cookie sheets. I came to this solution after a mouse got into my last cabinet and messed on all my plastic ware, what a PITA to wash, bleach, dry restack etc, this drawer in a cabinet approach keeps anything that might get in, out of the food storage. Plus it has to be kept neat and orderly or ya can't close the drawers.

O.K.
I don't really use too many big ones but..
I bought a netted lingerie bag at the dollar store. I put all the small ones in there. I leave the tops off and the netting lets the rest of the moisture evap. I hang the bag w/ an "S" hook off my pantry shelving. The bag has a zipped top. I thought about getting 2. 1 for square and 1 for round.
I like the tall square ones that stack inside each other for the larger ones and they have a shelf spot.

I sell tupperware so I have tons of it. I have one lower cabinet that has nothing but my tupperware in it and one container of cookie cutters all the way in the back. Everything has a spot to sit in with like containers stacked on each other. Lids are on the containers so I know if a lid has gone missing. When I put the dishes away, everything goes in like it should. When the kids put dishes away it is more like the toss it in and shut the door before it falls out method. So at least once a month I pull everything out and put it back in neatly.
The little bitty containers (less than 1 cup) are all in a basket on the shelf in the cabinet.wife to carl

Corner turn-table cabinet for the tupperware:
Top shelf square containers nestled together, lids are in a wicker basket on the shelf next to them.
Bottom shelf round containers nestled together, lids are in a wicker basket on the shelf next to them.
I put the lids in order of smallest in front, getting larger towards back of the basket for easy grabbing.
Also I try to only have two at the most of types of containers. Once a type gets too dwindled down (missing parts or broken) I donate them to Goodwill and buy a large new set to start again.LDR
