Default Do you clean at a specific time of day?

Just wondering if I'm the only one who does this!

I spend my morning relaxing, baking things that need to be baked, getting ingredients for dinner ready. And waiting for my meds to kick in . The girls go down for their nap and they're really reliable with how long they sleep, so when they're down I go outside and do weeding, harvesting, whatever garden/animal stuff needs to be done.

Around about 2pm I start cleaning, working from non-kid-rooms out to the living room. Normally by the time hubby comes home, he comes home to a clean house.

Anyone else structure their day like this?

House cleaning gets done first thing especially during hot weather. I just want it done so I can enjoy my day.

I'm a morning person so I get up, have a shower, take my meds and then clean. I usually finish the house in about an hour and half. Then like Darlene I get to enjoy the rest of the day. During the day I do basic straightening, washing dishes after meals and switching laundry.

When I was working I used to have specific days certain chores would get done but now...its a free for all. It gets cleaned when I have have time in between things during my day OR has to be done.

I started flylady.net a long time ago. It really helped me get organized. I no longer do fly lady faithfully, but I have stuck with my morning and evening routines. In the a.m. I shower and get dressed To The Shoes, I clean up the kitchen first (as the kitchen goes, so does the rest of the house), sort and put in a load of laundry, decide on dinner, check calendar for appts., pick up liv. room and dining room.

After my a.m. routine I generally pick one room to "deep clean" that week and do one project on it per day.

I clean my upstairs bedrooms and bathroom on Wednesdays.

It generally works out well during the school year. Then it all goes to heck in the summer lol.

I try to get as much done in the morning. Anything to avoid the heat! Then we can swim and relax in the afternoon/evening.

I'm all out of kilter now because we are living at my parent's house and I just can't get into a routine. But normally I would clean in the morning after coffee and a little quiet time, while the kids played. Then a clean & tidy up after supper while dh got the kids to bed.

I do my deep cleaning first thing in the morning to get it out of the way. I do general 5 minute pickups several times throughout the day. I straighten everything up before bed, so I get up to a clean house.

I do as much as possible in the morning to "get it over with". We are in different seasons of life though...when my girls were younger, I definitely worked while they slept or had quiet time.

Wow, seems like I AM the only one who does this!!!

It seems like in our house at least, if I clean in the morning, it all goes to you-know-where by the time DH gets home. So I put it off and do it all in the evening when I know it will stay that way, at least for an hour!

I don't really have a routine on cleaning. I just do it whenever and I'm always picking up, but my house is usually always clean. Things like dishes and laundry are done daily. A good cleaning once a week and I vacuum 2-3 times a week. Tonight I decided the toilet needed to be cleaned, so I did it.

~When my kids were as little as yours I cleaned after dinner. I liked waking up to a clean house. It helped keep me sane and moderately pleasant even during the worst periods of sleep deprivation.
Now I clean once a week with quick(15-30 minutes) pickups and wipe downs in the morning and while dinner is cooking.
You must be an afternoon person. That's just about my worst time of day. I really have to rally myself to get dinner started everyday. And I pickup while it cooks because I need to stay moving or I'll fall asleep.~

I do mine more on a 'certain days' schedule.

My chore days are Mondays & Fridays...this is when I clean and do all laundry.

I try my hardest to get everything done by lunchtime, except for the laundry and I work on it on & off until it's finished.
Because I'm like most everybody else who's posted, I just want to do it and get it finished so I don't have to worry about it the rest of the day.

The kids and I do a speed clean up about 3:30 every day so it's nice when dh gets home. If we are deep cleaning I usually do it earlier so we don't waste prime fun time later.
